Play Bugsling free online
Bugsling is a free online shooter puzzle played on a garden trellis. A sling slides along the bottom, and you launch matching pests up the threads to join groups of three or more, which then vanish. New rows creep down all the time, so keep every thread short of the red line. It plays in the browser on phone or computer, with no sign-in. Every few seconds you can aim and shoot, so it suits short bursts of play.
How to play Bugsling
- Pests hang from the trellis on silk threads, and a new row creeps in every few seconds. Press and drag along the bottom to pick a thread, and let go to sling the loaded pest up it. It sticks under the lowest pest on that thread.
- Join three or more pests of the same kind, side by side, up and down or corner to corner, and they drop away. The pests below them rise to close the gap, which can set off a chain: each link in the chain scores more.
- Don't let any thread reach the red line. Tap SWAP to use the next pest first. Clearing pests fills the BUG BOMB meter, and a full meter loads a bomb that wipes the two lowest pests of three threads. HINT shows the best shot, 2 free per run.
Bugsling tips
- Shoot at the thread whose top pest matches yours, and aim for groups that will cascade.
- Diagonal runs of three also clear, so look beyond straight lines.
- Clear the tallest thread first when it nears seven pests, since nine pests ends the run.
Bugsling questions
- How do I aim?
- Press anywhere on the playfield and drag left or right: the sling follows your finger and a dotted guide shows where the pest will stick. Let go to shoot. A quick tap shoots up the thread you tapped.
- Why do some pests disappear on their own?
- When a group is cleared, the pests below it rise to close the gap. If they land next to matching pests, they clear too, and each link in a chain multiplies your points, up to times four.
- What does the game do when I run low on options?
- Swap to the next pest, or use the bug bomb once the meter is full. A hint shows the best thread for the loaded pest, or tells you to swap. New pest kinds join the rows as the waves go on.
