Core Dive is a free online arcade game where a little drill bot digs for depth. Flick the screen in any direction and the harder and quicker the flick, the further the drill plows through soil, rock and magma. You only have a few charges, so every flick counts. It runs in your browser on phone or computer with no sign-in, and runs are short. Your top depth is kept, so each new run is a chance to dig a little deeper.

How to play Core Dive

1. Flick anywhere on the screen. The longer and faster the flick, the deeper the drill digs.
2. You get three charges. Reaching a new rock layer earns one back.
3. Your score is the depth in metres. Push through soil, rock and magma for a new best.

Core Dive tips

• Make one long, fast flick rather than a slow drag, because power depends on both distance and speed.
• A flick that is too short or takes over two seconds fizzles, but it costs no charge.
• Crossing into a new layer earns a charge back, so aim your big flicks at the next layer boundary.
