Play Ghost Trail free online
Ghost Trail is a free online memory puzzle played in the dark. A light walks a path across a grid of stones from a start lantern to a moon gate, fading tile by tile behind it. Then every tile goes dark and you must trace the same route with your finger. The grid grows as you go. It runs in the browser on phone or computer, with no sign-in. You have three lanterns, so a slip is forgiven, and the light replays the same route.
How to play Ghost Trail
- Watch the light walk the path from the lantern to the moon gate.
- When the board goes dark, drag your finger along the same path. Lifting your finger starts over for free.
- A wrong tile or running out of time blows out a lantern. Three out ends the run, and four clean rounds relight one.
Ghost Trail tips
- Say the turns to yourself while the light walks, like right, right, down, instead of picturing the whole path.
- Lift your finger to restart from the lantern for free if you lose track of the route.
- Aim for flawless rounds with no mistake, since four in a row relight a lantern.
Ghost Trail questions
- What counts as a mistake?
- Stepping on a tile off the path, or skipping ahead. Walking back over your trail is free.
- Can I see the path again?
- Yes. Peek replays it (2 free per run). It makes the round not flawless.
