Twin Postcards
How to play
Play Twin Postcards free online
Twin Postcards is a free online spot-the-difference game showing two postcards of one place, an original and a copy with a few secret changes. Tap each difference on either card before one shared clock runs out. Fast finds bank extra time, and each cleared stage adds a stamp to your album. It runs in the browser on phone or computer, with no sign-in. Places range from rooms and streets to ponds and toy shelves, so each pair looks fresh.
How to play Twin Postcards
- Two postcards of the same place lie one above the other, and 3 to 5 things differ on the lower one: something is missing, added, recoloured, moved, bigger or turned round. Tap each difference, on either card.
- One 60-second clock runs for the whole game. Every find adds seconds (more when it is quick) and a cleared stage adds more, but a tap on blank paper costs 4 seconds. Pairs get busier and the differences smaller as you go.
- LENS circles the area of a difference for 3 seconds: 2 free per game. Every cleared stage collects a postage stamp for your album, 24 in all.
Twin Postcards tips
- Tap only when you are sure, because a tap on blank paper takes four seconds off the clock.
- Search one area of the picture at a time, such as the top shelf, then move on.
- Use the lens ring to narrow a search when stuck, since the clock is shared across all stages.
Twin Postcards questions
- Is there always a way to find every difference?
- Yes. Each pair is made by the game, which checks that every change leaves a visible patch and that no two changes touch before you ever see it. Nothing else differs.
- What loses time and what wins it?
- A find banks 1.5 seconds plus up to 2 more when it comes within 6 seconds of the last one, a cleared stage banks 4, and a tap on blank paper costs 4. The clock can never go above 90 seconds.
- How long does a game last?
- Usually one and a half to four minutes. It ends when the clock reaches zero.
