Chalkpaw

How to play

Play Chalkpaw free online

Chalkpaw is a free online physics puzzle where you draw chalk ramps on a night city wall. A cat on a skateboard is thrown from the top, and your lines guide it to a cushion box while catching fish and avoiding thorns. Chalk is limited. It plays in the browser on phone or computer, with no sign-in, and drawing has no time pressure. Reaching the cushion box earns up to three stars, and clean clears give a paw back.

How to play Chalkpaw

  1. A skateboard cat is thrown from a spot high on a wall. Drag your finger to draw chalk lines, then press GO: the cat falls, lands on your chalk and slides along it. Get it into its cushion box at the bottom.
  2. Your chalk is limited and the bar at the top shows how much is left. UNDO takes the last line back and gives its chalk back. RETRY puts the cat back at the start and keeps your lines. Fish make stars, a golden bell opens the box on some walls, blue stars give a speed kick, orange pads spring the cat up, and rings are portals. Red thorns and a fall off the wall cost a paw.
  3. You have three paws. Every fourth wall you clear gives one back. HINT draws the next line of a solution faintly: 2 free per game. The walls never run out and get busier as you climb.

Chalkpaw tips

  • Follow the faint dotted arc to see where the cat lands, then draw your first ramp under it.
  • Press undo to take back a line and regain its chalk instead of clearing everything.
  • Retry is free and keeps your chalk lines, so test a run and tweak the slope.

Chalkpaw questions

Can every wall be solved?
Yes. Each wall is made by the game, which plays a reference solution through the same physics you play on and only keeps the wall if that solution reaches the box with every fish. The empty wall is never a win.
What does the chalk limit mean?
You can draw as many lines as you like until the stick is used up. A short, clever ramp beats a long scribble, and unused chalk is worth a few bonus points.
How long does a game last?
Usually one to four minutes. It ends when your last paw is gone.
