Free word and number games
Letters and numbers are the oldest puzzle material there is. This page collects our games built from them: crossing and weaving words, spelling against a tumbling board, quick sums, number rules you have to read before you can solve them, and a quiz for when you want a fast pick between two answers.
They are short on purpose. A round of a word game takes a minute or two, and a sum sprint takes less, so they fit a bus ride or a coffee break. Everything is free, runs in your browser on a phone or a computer, and needs no sign-in. Play a word game to warm up your vocabulary and a number game to wake up your mental arithmetic.
